This is my favourite photograph of Jirisan taken by my friend Debbie. Each time I look at this picture I almost gasp with emotion. The play of lighter and darker shades breaks down the monochromatic look of the picture, its perfect composition has a soothing effect, the sparse beauty of the static lonely tree overlooking the hills paling into the distance, suggesting possibilities and hopes of something/someone that lies beyond what the eyes can see... A load of memories seem to overflow me, except I don't know exactly which ones...I just feel the way I must have felt at one moment or many moments in the past... I feel as if I saw or dreamed about this exact image somewhere, sometime... Strange...
