Dobongsan Hike, October 2nd

Debbie's friends Peter and Jae-il, Debbie and I hiked today on Dobongsan. We followed the trail that leads from a parking lot in the city up to a little temple called Wohnyeonsa, then up to Podae Ridge, and down to the Parking lot, stopping at Mangwolsa, a beautiful temple.
The day was absolutely fabulous: cool and breezy, but sunny and bright. The "boys" were in high spirits, so were we the "girls." The trail we chose ran up along a stream bed, very shady and cool, green with moss and leaves that still refuse to change colour although it's the beginning of October.
I really enjoyed the hike. Hopefully, soon I'll be fit enough to join the club again. These two photographs show a little 'bell pavillion' of Mangwolsa temple, and a painting of the Dobongsan Podae Ridge that adorns one of its outer walls.
We hiked for about 4 hours, ending the hike at a little restaurant with a couple of bowls of dong-dong-ju and a dish of 'tubu kimchi'
