What would any hike be without the obligatory dong-dong ju and side dish at the end? We were ushered into a restaurant at the foot of Dobongsan where we drank 'insam dong-dong ju" - ginseng dong-dong-ju and an order of kimchi with tofu. The patio is well shaded which allowed all sorts of flora to grow on its rough wooden furniture. Shown here: fungus adorning the seat next to mine. Pretty, eh? Like an exotic flower or bird.
