Tuesday, Oct. 17th. Debbie, Chris and Clare came to my house for an evening of chili and wine. Lot of merriment ensued. Debbie left earlier, but the three of us continued consuming vino rosso until 3:00 a.m. I had candles strewn on the floor and as luck would have I landed on one of them, setting one of my favourite shirts on fire and burning a my back. The scar will be there to remind me: don't drink and have candles on the floor - a dangerous sport, indeed.
