Soyosan Hike, Nov.5th

The New Hiker, Seok-jon, CD, Deb, me and Jungshik.
Yet again this last Saturday I was on one of my fave mounts in Korea: Soyosan. We started early 'cause Deb and I needed to be back in Seoul to get ready for our big night out: the Indian Diwali festival at The Grand Hilton Hotel.
When we got together at Uijeongbu, the weather threatened to turn for the worse every second. It was foggy, cold, almost miserable. When we got to Soyo, the forest looked eery with some of the trees bare enveloped only in a smokey veil of fog and mist. One hour later, the sun came out killing the fog and giving birth to beautiufl big blue skies.
We took a shortcut dashing down the mountain to have time to enjoy some food and drink before our way back to Seoul.
Soyosan looked amazing in its gold-russet-scarlet-green garb.
