Hwan-hee-sa (temple). As I was leaving the steep slopes of Inwangsan, totally unexpectedly I found myself in front of a tiny temple, at the very foot of yet another incline. The whole temple grounds claim no more than two small temple buildings, a very clean public restroom and a most lovingly tended garden. The garden is surrounded by pine trees; in the middle there is a pagoda and on one side a buddha's statue (shown here through the curtain of orchids). There are all different kinds of flowers in pots or in the soil and they line a very green and very manicured lawn. Three smiling ajummas are taking care of the grounds with the help of two cute dogs, one white and one gray.
Capricorn's Corner
I decided to start this blog to keep a record of my amazing life in Korea and allow family and friends a peek into my adventures, misadventures, and musings; occasionallly, also, it is necessary to let off some steam about this or that - why not do it here?
