A Chrisantemum

As I was taking pictures of some potted herbs and plants growing by the tracks of Soyo station, an elderly man addressed me in a very good English. He was the improptu gardener and he was flattered by my attention to his 'children'. He beckoned me to go into his office where he proudly showed me his chili peppers. He had worked at Camp Casey for 30 years. After retirement he works a bit at the station and cares for his little potted garden. Beautiful and enormous chrisantemums in pink and white were especially impressive. Posted by Picasa
